CASE STUDY | RxManage Delivers Major Savings for a Kentucky Employer

A case study

The Client

  • Private company in Kentucky
    2,600 covered lives

This client is a private company based in Kentucky with a diverse portfolio of businesses. They cover approximately 2,600 lives and extend the RxManage Program at a $0 co-pay to both employees and dependents.

The Challenges

  • Rising costs of prescription medications
  • Need to improve patient adherence

The Solution

  • Reviewing the client’s claims data to identify medications eligible for the program
  • Creating and distributing educational materials to inform members about the program
  • Supporting the HR team in communicating program details to members
  • Conducting outreach calls to eligible members
  • Providing ongoing support for member account setup and order placement
  • Supplying the client with detailed savings reports

RxManage transformed affordability and access by delivering brand-name medications from licensed pharmacies in Tier 1 countries (New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the UK) at up to 70% less cost, while maintaining a $0 co-pay for employees. The program launched in January 2023.

The Results

The program delivered meaningful cost reductions while expanding employee access to medications. Between February and July 2025, RxManage processed 173 claims, achieving $482,020 in savings—a 59% reduction in medication costs. Though these claims accounted for just 1% of total claims, they generated a 15% reduction in overall medication costs for the group.
